The New Zealand All Blacks easily won the Rugby Championship in 2012 finishing with 26 points. South Africa finished with 12 points, Australia with 12 points and Argentina with 4 points. To see how the points are allocated see the Rugby Championship page

So Australia won the Tri Nations Series. But the All Blacks retained the Bledisloe Cup in 2011, as winners of the first game (the cup holder retains the cup if the series is a draw).

The All Blacks therefore retained the Bledisloe Cup in 2010.
 

South Africa won the Tri Nations series in 2009. New Zealand won the Bledisloe Cup in 2009 and 2010 as well as the 2010 Tri Nations series.

Super Rugby

2013

In 2013, six teams were chosen to compete in the final playoff games. They were the Chiefs, Bulls and Brumbies (confederation leaders) and the wildcard teams, the Reds, Cheetahs & Crusaders. The 2013 tournament started on 15th Feb and ended with the final on 3rd August 2013.

In the final, the Chiefs won the tournament for the second year running by beating the Brumbies 27-22. Well done to the Chiefs!

2012

The 2012 tournament started on 24th Feb and ended with the final on 4th August 2012 - 125 matches in total. The final was between the Durban Sharks and Waikato Chiefs. The Chiefs won their first title by 37-6. Well done the Chiefs!

2011

The Super 14 became the Super 15 in 2011 with the inclusion of the Melbourne Rebels. The 2011 final was on Saturday 9 July 2011. The Canterbury Crusaders played all of their games away from home due to earthquake damage to AMI Stadium in Christchurch. Unfortunately they lost to the Queensland Reds in the final. But a great effort anyhow. Well done, and congratulations to the Reds.  



ITM Cup (was Air New Zealand Cup) Rugby

The 2013 final was won by Canterbury against Wellington by 29 -13. This was Canterbury's 6th Provincial title.

The 2012 ITM Cup was won by Counties Manukau over Otago by 41-16

The 2011 final was on Saturday 3 September and was won by Canterbury over Waikato 12-3.

For the 2010 series this was renamed as the the ITM Cup. Canterbury won the final against Wellington by 33-13 in 2010.

Canterbury won the Air New Zealand Cup in 2009.

Heartland Championship Rugby

The 2012 Heartland Championship started on 25th August 2012. The Meads Cup was decided on 27th October when East Coast beat Wanganui by 29-27. The Lochore Cup was won by Buller, beating Canterbury 31-28.
