The lodge is spacious, modern and centrally heated throughout with new furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen - dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, stove & water filter. Open plan dining room and lounge with Sky TV (9 channels) & DVD, WIFI internet. Two bathrooms and separate laundry facilities. Four bedrooms (sleeps 2-8), queen with ensuite, queen with sofa-bed, 2 twin (single-bed) bedrooms, double sofa-bed in lounge. A portable cot is available. From the large deck there is a panoramic view of the harbour with outside seating and BBQ. |

| The South Catlins area has spectacular scenery and many natural wonders. The Lodge is 300m off the main route to Curio Bay on the Catlins Coastal Heritage Trail. It has waterfront access to the harbour and is 100m from a 10 minute native bush walk that winds around the edge of the Waikawa estuary. 6km from Curio Bay: Shop, Jurassic fossil forest, Hectors dolphins, seals & sea-lions, Yellow-eyed penguins. Safe swimming & surfing beach 300 metres to Waikawa Museum and Information Centre. 3km to Niagara Falls Café. Close to other southern scenic attractions. |
