The Wellesley is a magnificently restored grade one heritage building, designed by William Gray Young in 1927. This masterpiece was awarded a gold medal for architecture and is regarded as Wellington's finest example of neo-Georgian architecture.
In 2000 the hotel was tastefully restored, retaining its charm and elegance. Superbly appointed luxury suites have been meticulously themed in the English Georgian period style with use of the finest natural materials.
Each room is of particularly generous proportions reflecting the grandeur of the hotel building.
If you're looking for a quality hotel in Wellington, the Wellesley Boutique Hotel is the perfect place to relax and unwind while you explore the coolest little capital in the world. You'll be captured by the ambience from your first step through the doors, right up until the moment you leave.
PARKING: Secure undercover Parking is available in an adjacent Parking building for $25.00 until 10am the next day.

I stayed on 30th december, but booking didn't warn me that the restaurant was closed, breakfast wasn't available before 8am (my train left at 07:55). Receptionist described the room as cosy; i thougth it was just adequate. Window looked on ventilation shaft. Room was clean, equpiied and bathroom was excellent. I left feeling just a little cheated and won't return.

A great stay. The room was warm, cosy, and had everything we wanted, and more. A fantastic big bath was a nice surprise. Would stay again. .

I stayed for two nights as a single traveller. Felt very comfortable and safe, pleasant room with a window that opens (very important to me), attractive decor, nice helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.
