Following is feedback posted by visitors to this property:The best farm-stay we could have imagined.
We had an outstanding experience staying at Haulfryn House, far beyond our expectations. Sally and Chris were great hosts who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and fun. Our bedroom and bathroom were large, attractive, comfortable, and quiet. Sally cooked dinner the night of our arrival and breakfast the following morning, both meals of professional-chef quality. Chris took us along for some farm chores, which we had requested and thoroughly enjoyed, although we probably slowed him down quite a bit. Conversation never lagged as we found we all had a lot in common. If we are ever in that beautiful area of New Zealand again, we would go out of our way to stay with them.

It exceeded our expectations
Decoration in the house is simple but tastefully done. Quality items like toiletries and bedsheets are provided. Sally is a good cook and we were treated to sumptuous breakfasts during our stay there. We had dinner at her place on the first evening upon our arrival and it wasn't disappointing. It helped a lot to enjoy the dinner along with beautiful scenery after a day of travelling. Although my family is not a fan of western cuisine we enjoyed her food. Not to forget their kiwi hospitality in making us welcomed and comfortable during our stay too!

Beautiful locale, charming hosts, tremendous breakfasts.
Really enjoyed our three day stay with Chris and Sally. Well worth the drive--get out of Auckland when you visit NZ. Great home base for Waitomo, Raglan, Mata Mata, Hamilton, and more. They have great recommendations about how to spend your time.
