Complete the half day eco tour with a visit to Kawiti glow worm caves. This amazing tour is authentic, unique and personal. See the amazing limestone formations, fat eels and view the famous ?milky way'. We lunch at an historic house cafe in cottage garden surroundings. We will also visit the Hundertwasser's toilets at Kawakawa to view a real piece of (working' art!)

This scenic journey starts from Russell village travelling out to the amazing Ngaiotonga State Forest, which is one of the few areas of Northland to have survived the intensive timber logging industry of the 19th & 20th century. A 30-minute bush walk highlights the forests unique native fauna, flora and majestic Kauri trees. Walk beneath the canopy of these large trees and feel the ancient and primeval feel of yesteryear.
