Hi

You are receiving this email newsletter because you have subscribed through our New Zealand Rugby Traveller website at www.newzealandrugbyinfo.co.nz, requesting rugby information. (Subscriber information is below)

In case you haven’t heard, this is just a quick update to let you know that World Cup tickets are due to go on sale to the public from 27 April until applications close on 21 May. Initially Venue and Team only packs will be available.

You will be able to buy a pack of 4 tickets to follow your team through their pool games, or else a 2 - 5 ticket pack to games at a specific venue.

To purchase, you need to first register. Allocations are made (or balloted) once the officials see what the demand is. We are not sure if these are to be allocated on a first come, first served basis or what.

Adult prices for Venue packs look like they range from about $NZ60 (Whangarei Cat GA, 2 games) to $NZ1720 (Eden Park Cat A, 5 games). Team packs range from $NZ160 (Namibia Cat D/GA) to $NZ1400 (New Zealand Cat A)

Individual games tickets will apparently be on sale later this year, maybe in August or September. Again there might be some sort of balloting depending on demand.

Tickets for semi finals and the final will be offered on a ballot system to those people who have purchased team or venue packs, or individual tickets. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you will get in the ballot.

To find out more, you will need to visit the official web sites, where you can also pre-register for tickets.

On other rugby news:

The Super 14 is well under way at present with the Crusaders, Bulls, Stormers, Reds at the top of the table after the Round 10 games.

Ireland and Wales tour New Zealand in June to play the All Blacks. Games are on 12 June (Ireland), 19 June (Wales) and 26 June (Wales). Why not come and see them!

After that, the Bledisloe Cup & Tri Nations series takes place “Downunder” from 10 July to 11 September.

Later in the year the All Blacks tour the Northern Hemisphere for games against England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales between 7 November and 28 November (NZ dates)

The games schedule is at http://www.newzealandrugbyinfo.co.nz/rugbygames.php

As well as these and all the Northern Hemisphere tournaments, there is an awful lot of great rugby to see this year.
