Formerly known as Arena 1, FMG Stadium is Arena Manawatu’s main outdoor venue and is home to the Manawatu Rugby Football Union. Overlooking the stadium’s Oval, the redeveloped Grandstand was completed in March 2005.

Seating capacity is 15,000, however additional portable seating can be set-up to increase the seating capacity to 18,000 for major sports events.

Situated right in the heart of Palmerston North city, just seven-minutes walking distance from the central city, the park-like environment boasts 33 individual indoor and outdoor venues within the 18 hectare site.

Arena Manawatu has an exclusive catering supplier, Eurest, who provide catering for all events.

You are prohibited to take the following items into the stadium; alcohol, chilli-bins, portable seating, cans or glass, commercially prepared food (this does not apply to food or beverages for patrons with special dietary requirements).

Smoking is not allowed in seated or enclosed areas.

Disabled partrons – ramp access for eight wheelchair positions and eight adjacent carer positions.
