Wine Tours
New Zealand has a reputation for producing high quality wines. New Zealand Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc are considered some of the finest in the world. Other varietals produced in New Zealand include Chardonnay, Riesling, Syrah and Merlot.
There are over 400 wineries throughout New Zealand from one end of the country to the other. Marlborough is the largest wine producing region followed by Hawkes Bay. Central Otago is the world's southernmost winemaking region.
Wine tours are a great way to visit New Zealand's wineries and vineyards, sample the wines and learn how the wines are made. There's a wide variety of wine tours available, both half and full day tours as well as multi day wine tours visiting several wine regions. Wine tour options include small group guided tours, personal, private tours, self drive wine tours and even wine tours by bicycle.
The Rotorua area includes Rotorua city, Ngongataha, Hamurana, Lake Rotoiti, Lake Tarawera, Orakei Korako and Murupara.
