Our Motel, "Wrights by the Sea", offers the perfect setting for a getaway vacation from your busy city life. Wrights By The Sea is situated right in the heart of Paraparaumu Beach on Kapiti's famous Nature Coast. We are renowned for great motel accommodation with friendly service and home away from home comforts.
Just 40 minutes from Wellington on the Kapiti Coast, "Wrights by the Sea" is the ideal accommodation venue for a weekend escape from the city. A number of excellent cafes and fine restaurants are within comfortable walking distance of the Motel, ideal for that leisurely lunch or intimate dinner for two.
Or stay longer at our Motel for a fun-filled holiday at the beach. You may wish to play the challenging Paraparaumu Links Golf Course or visit world-famous Kapiti Island to see rare and endangered native birds. Or you might prefer to go mountain biking, swimming, beach walking or just an idle around our local shops, all are within easy walking distance of "Wrights by the Sea".
We offer 14 modern and spacious units, all with up-to-date decor and SKY television.

4 x One Bedroom Units, two on the second level and two mezzanine units with accommodation on both the ground floor and the second level.
1 x Luxury Studio Unit on the second level.
Accommodation units are very spacious and are tastefully furnished to complement the modern décor. All beds have quality bedspreads and crisp linen and electric blankets for cosy warmth. Other furnishings include bedside cabinets, table and chairs, telephone, electric heating, and an ironing board ? everything to ensure that you will have a pleasant and relaxing stay.
All upstairs units have a private balcony. Downstairs Units have a private patio.

Older style motel that had been refurbished but not to a high standard. Clean and comfortable - ok for 1 night.

To begin with, the flat screen tv is tiny, you can hardly see it, we got some wifi but only had 8 mb so paid $10 for more but could only use one device on that account at a time, and the wifi reception was very poor, we couldn't connect anyway, so wasted $10 and had no connection to internet. The heater was blowing cold air, and as for free toiletries was nice if the toilet paper wasn't so cheap, otherwise was good.

We totally enjoyed our stay last week. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Everytning was meticulously clean, modern, and the bed was very comfortable. A great sunny location only minutes from the seaside and shops. .
