Windy Waves offers two choices of accommodation - a bed and breakfast suite upstairs and a self-contained apartment downstairs.
The Bed and Breakfast is located upstairs in it's own private wing with superb views. The suite is spacious and includes a dining and seating area. The private bathroom includes a spa bath.
The Windy Waves Apartment is located downstairs. There is a very large bedroom containing double bed, single bunks, and a seating area which receives morning sun. Also contains separate lounge, kitchen and bathroom. A sheltered outdoor deck at the back completes the picture. All linen, towels and toiletries provided.
Enjoy a quiet environment and easy walks to the beach, Hydrabad shipwreck, the forest and cafe. If you like the outdoors there's plenty to do here. You can't beat an early evening walk on the beach as the sun is setting. We're part of the Nature Coast, but round here we like to call it the sunset coast. Surf casting is another popular early evening activity - just as the tide is turning is the peak time to catch snapper, gurnard and kahawai. The forest provides great entertainment for either walking or cycling. But if you prefer a more leisurely activity, we have provided a good selection of books and DVDs.
Many local attractions are located close by in Shannon, Foxton, Levin and the Kapiti Coast. We are located just 5 minutes off State Highway 1, 10 minutes from Levin and just over an hour from Wellington, an ideal stopover on the way to or from the Cook St Ferry.

Spacious apartment with everything you need when you travel with a little kid. We spend a very good night here on our way from Napier to Wellington. The hosts Tony and Leonie are tremendous: super friendly and hospitable. And they even put toys for our baby daughter. Very highly recommended. Thanks for the nice stay!!

This was a lovely apartment- Very well set up with everything you need and lots of attention to detail. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely couple of days here

Exceptionally welcome hosts that provided a spotless place to stay.
The hosts went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. From the clean and well equipped accomodations to the little extras like toys and a car ride along the beach. Our expectations were exceeded! We had a comfortable and enjoyable visit. We will recommend these accomodations to others.

Fantastic place and great hospitality
What a great little place. Room is large and private and with a nice outlook although not on the beach (only a 5 min walk away). Please was spotlessly clean and tidy. Hosts were super friendly but not pushy or in your face. Not many options in the village for food but we were there over New Year when most things closed. HIGHLY RCOMMENDED
