At White Island Rendezvous we provide a variety of quality accommodation to suit both the pleasure and corporate traveller. We have options for every guest ? from a studio with spa bath or shower, to an apartment with full kitchen facilities or the luxury of a super king bed in our boutique Kauri villa. Our newly refurbished Bungalow is perfect for family groups. Guests can wake-up to a hearty cooked breakfast delivered to their room or enjoy the atmosphere of our on-site café.

The great outdoors is at our doorstep. Guests have a unique opportunity to visit off-shore volcanoes ? whether a day trip to White Island, the active off-shore marine volcano, or a shorter nature excursion to Whale Island ? a dormant inshore volcano which is now a wildlife refuge. Both of these tours check in within the motel reception giving you convenience if you are booked on our tours and looking for accommodation. Guests can stroll down to the harbour entrance to watch the boats come and go or enjoy one of the local bushwalks to view the spectacular scenery of our bay. The motel complex is situated opposite the picturesque Whakatane Wharf and within walking distance of the town centre and many fine restaurants.

White Island Rendezvous offers the perfect location for your next meeting, seminar or training session in Whakatane. Our meeting room is available for hire to corporate guests, local businesses and anyone requiring a meeting space. The meeting room can be configured in a number of ways such boardroom style, classroom style and theatre style. All furniture can be removed to create a standing only area for a cocktail function.
The boardroom has bi-fold doors at each end which open onto a large deck. Excellent catering can be provided from our onsite cafe PeeJays. Breakfast, morning and afternoon tea or a full lunch, we will work with you to plan a menu which fits your budget and requirements.

MOTEL COMPLEX
There are 28 units in the complex ? all with a Qualmark-endorsed 4-star plus rating and Qualmark Enviro-Gold accredited.

All units have a 32? LCD TVs with Sky satellite TV and access to free wireless internet. All units are designated as non-smoking.

The following room types are available:

Standard Studios ? double studios are available. Studios have a dining table and kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, kettle and cooking/eating utensils. The ensuite bathroom has a shower with instant hot water.

Deluxe Studios ? double or twin (1 queen and 1 single) studios are available. Room amenities are the same as the standard studios but with the addition of remote controlled air-conditioning/heating, heated bath room mirrors and higher quality furnishings.

Deluxe Studios with Spa ? double studios are available. Have the additional feature of a large two-person spa bath.

Standard Three-bedroom Unit ? a two-storied unit with a lounge area and full cooking facilities including both a conventional and microwave oven. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the second bedroom has two single beds and the third bedroom, one single bed.

Deluxe Two-bedroom Apartment - has a large lounge area, dining table and kitchenette with full cooking facilities, automatic dishwasher and pantry. It has remote control air conditioning, an ironing station and a spa bath. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has two single beds.

The Bungalow ? is a 1950s house which has been fully renovated to capture the feel of a typical New Zealand beachside holiday home. There are three bedrooms. A huge master bedroom features a Californian King bed, the other two bedrooms both have Super Kings. All beds can be zipped apart which means that the house can cater for up to 6 singles or 3 couples or a variation in between. The large lounge room has a comfortable leather lounge suite and a dining suite. There is also a covered outdoor area and BBQ. The bathroom has a shower and toilet and there is an additional separate toilet.

The Villa (B&B)? situated in a boutique Kauri Villa located immediately next door to our motel complex we have two Villa units. The Back Villa has a kitchenette with cooking facilities, one bedroom with a super-king bed, a lounge room and a huge bathroom with an antique bathtub and separate shower. The Front Villa has a full dine-in kitchen, one bedroom with queen bed, lounge room with leather recliners. The Front Villa has a large veranda and private garden with views across to the Whakatane River. The Villa is suitable for someone looking for a special overnight retreat or for long-stay guests.
