WOW - what a gorgeous place ! John, our host was everything you would hope for. His partner was away at this time, so it was just John and our family of 4. He was sensational with our 2 '10 year olds', and took us all on a marvellous tour of his property with an insightful commentary. We even trekked through an old cave - the kids LOVED it. The property was warm & welcoming and the home is decorated beautifully, with so many wonderful things to look at. John suggested the old Speight's Pub in Greymouth for dinner, and it was superb. Even visited the local Dunollie Hotel, and the Publican Paul was just as friendly - this is a gorgeous town. Came home with a bag of complimentary white bait for brekky, which John again, cooked deliciously. Beautiful home, very comfy beds, clean as a whistle, and I [as a Mum] felt very at home with John's warm hospitality. We'd love to come back again some day. DON'T BOTHER WITH OLD STUFFY MOTELS ETC, you will be over-joyed with your stay in this home.
