Wainui Beach is situated 5 minutes (by car) north of Gisborne city centre and 50 metres from the sand and surf of Wainui Beach.
We are a classic kiwiana beach holiday motel with lush sub-tropical gardens and grassy lawns right outside our 9 spacious, self-contained 1 and 2 bedroom ground floor units. Relax and unwind outside listening to the lull of the rolling ocean.
Access to Gisborne's most popular surfing and walking beach is literally a hop, jump and a skip away! We are pet friendly and your family dog will love the long golden sandy beach to run and play on, as will the kids! Outside of the holiday season (Dec/Jan) it is practically your own private beach. A little piece of paradise on the East Coast.
Our facilities include 11 TV channels (6 Sky-TV digital) , free WIFI internet, guest laundry, play area for the children and an in-ground pool.
The local store has takeaway meals - gourmet pizzas, burgers and crumbed fish and chips (400m) from Wednesday to Sunday 5pm to 8pm. Brunch is served daily from 8.30 to 12.00 or grab a coffee and muffin to go.
Prepare your tastebuds for the flavours of Mexico! Local restaurant Cantina Caliente is the place to relax, refresh and eat out at Wainui Beach (500m). Open Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm.

Following is feedback posted by visitors to this property:Very clean older style motel that has some nice modern touches. Location just a short walk to a fantastic beach. Good for all sorts of guests as you can cook your own or eat at restaurants or cafes in gisborne. Highly recommended as a nice quite stay at reasonable rates. The staff are very helpful and supportive. .
