Following is feedback posted by visitors to this property:My choice was based on a very convienient location , i did not realised there was no sky tv, which is very unusual, dated appearance and had a musky smell to my room, however, very good value, good heating/ac and quiet, (stayed sunday/monday).

The room was spacious but dated. Lighting in the main room/lounge was not great. We were on the ground floor and woken up by footsteps above us - very heavy footed males, who arrived home about midnight and obviously didn't go to be for some time. The shower over the bath was great, but the glass screen was not big enough so the floor was awash after a shower, regardless of how careful you were. On site parking in the motel was also very tight. Generally the accomodation was satisfactory, but definitely request an upstairs room.

We were placed in a room on the bottom floor & were kept awake all night by footsteps from the room above us. For $200 per night i would expect more, there was no sky tv channels available in our room (that can get very boring when infomercials were all that was showing on the 4 available channels). On a more positive note the $15 buffet breakfast was enjoyable. .

Not the most modern of establishments. But that is reflected in the very good value of the accomodation charge. Restaurant was excellent. All staff (eg. Reception, restaurant, room servicing, etc) all very pleasant and helpful. I was a little hesitant at time of booking due to the location. But having now stayed, it is perfect (eg. Almost straight up into cbd, motorway at doorstep and greenlane via st. Lukes). Thou, to be expected peak traffic adds an extra 30 - 45 mins on st. Lukes thru to greenlane/remuera. As stated by others, would stay again and recommend to others without hesitation. Thanks to the team at the surrey. Only downer of the whole week was the weather, but we are talking auckland and september (eg. Spring and fickle).

Convenient location. Room dated but very comfortable. Very reasonable rates. Would go there again and recommend to others.
