Kaikoura is spoilt for choice with cafés and restaurants in the town centre or choose between one of the two top rated restaurants located just around the corner.

The Point farm originally covered 600 acres of farmland and ran 2000 sheep. Today we have 90 acres and run 300 Drysdale sheep on the farm which forms part of the Kaikoura Peninsula. While staying at The Point come and see the sheep shearing show and catch up with the famous "Ram Man"; he eats out of the palm of your hand, ask about our in-house special rate to see the show.

Visitors to The Point will enjoy a good nights sleep in one of our two guest rooms; The Front Room or The Rutherford Room. Both these Queen rooms have their own private ensuite bathrooms, television, an electric blanket, room heater, hair dryer, heated towel rail, extra blankets and complementary chocolates are all provided to make your stay with us even more enjoyable.

Relax in the garden, sit on the veranda or wander over to the beach to enjoy the peace and quiet of our rural setting. If you are an early riser, why not make the most of the early morning sky.

When you wake, indulge in a delicious continental breakfast at our dining table or on the veranda. Start your day enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains and the sea. Breakfast includes a range of cereals, fresh fruit salad, peaches, toast, home-made spreads, honey, optional farm eggs on toast, orange juice and a selection of herbal teas, tea and coffee.
