Located in the Centre of the Franz Josef Village, yet on a quiet street. The 4 star Terrace Motel offers views of snow capped mountains and the Croz Glacier from its grounds. Free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking are included. Next to the reception is a quiet restaurant, it is also the closest Motel to Franz Josef's free Glow Worm Caves and Franz Josef Kiwi Bird Centre where guests can experience New Zealand's national bird up close.
The motel boasts spacious ground floor accommodation with electric blankets and electric heating, 32-Inch flat-screen Televisions, tea/coffee making facilities and all en suite bathrooms, some feature a Spa Bath. Guests have a choice of studio's or spacious 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Most rooms features stove tops and microwaves along with a dining area. All rooms are serviced daily.

I would recommend this motel to anyone. The rooms are large and clean with good beds. We received a warm welcome and plenty of information. Breakfast not included - which is the only thing on our wish list not covered.

Reasonably priced for a big, comfortable and warm room. An informative welcome and straightforward people to deal with. Franz isn't exactly buzzing, but the motel is a good place to come back to each evening.

A really excellent motel. Great reception on arrival and they booked a chopper flight for me as soon as I arrived. Big clean rooms, and internet at $10 for over night, which is better than some other cheap skate motels who charge $2 per 1/4hr.
