Very nice and helpful at reception. Room okay but a bit dated and small. Could do with some brightening up. Kitchen area was quite dark. We had the 'Executive with spa' unit but the bathroom was quite cramped. It was a wet windy day when we arrived and the unit was cold but warmed up after we had the heater going for a while and was quite cosy after that. Okay but I feel it was a bit overpriced.

Update January 2009 - I have just done my third stay at Teal and service and quality still 100% as described below. This place is both style and quality with very friendly and helpful operators. Clean, quiet, well equipped and easy distance to central city. Room I had was in perfect order and very comfortable. Highly recommended and my choice for future visits to Gisborne.
