Te Makiri Cottage is a secluded, private holiday home, ideal for those wanting a quiet relaxing break. Kick off your shoes and take a relaxing soak in the outside bath, with view of native bush and Tuis.
The cottage has solid plastered walls and terracotta tiles and two comfortable bedrooms with a sofa bed in the living room.
It is most suitable for 2 couples or a small family.
We are 'pet friendly'.
While Te Makiri Cottage features simple old world charm it is fully set up with WI FI/ Broadband and SKY/TV.
Check in is 2pm and check out is 10am.
Nestled in the vineyard belt of Onetangi on beautiful Waiheke Island, Te Makiri Cottage has a special access path to Miro Vineyard. There our guests may book in to the award winning 'Casita Miro' restaurant,open Wednesday - Sunday from 11.30am to 4pm and dinner Saturday from 6pm. Bookings are essential.
Casita Miro offers a menu of scrumptious Mediterranean tapas and a range of stunning Bordeaux wines.
Obsidian Vineyard is a short 2 mins walk down the path over the pond and is open for daily wine tastings through Summer.
At Te Makiri Cottage we offer our guests a delicious healthy breakfast option of home-made muesli made from organic rolled oats, Waiheke roasted coffee, bread and jams.The cottage is only 15 mins walk from beautiful Onetangi beach, with it's white sandy beaches and popular cafes.
Summer season (October 1st - April 30th requires a 2 night minimum booking)

?Te Makiri Cottage is small but beautifully renovated and peacefully situated between two vineyards in Onetangi. We appreciated the comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and many personal touches. Perfect for one or two couples or a small family, but the ladder to the loft bedroom might be tricky for some. We were glad to have our car with us and were pleased that we were allowed to bring our dog.? H. Storm '08

We had a wonderful relaxed time here. Loved that the cottage was walking distance to Casita Miro and Onetangi beach & shops. We would love to come back and bring friends as is large enough for 2x couples. Lots of character and everything we needed incl torch for the walk to restaurant at night!!

Te Makiri Cottaage was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful decor and set in a peaceful glade, we were able to relax immediately. There was also a great breakfast provided with fresh breads, homemade jams and muesli and fresh locally roasted coffee. Superb!! Cant wait till next time...
