Thames is ideally situated as a holiday base because it is the main commercial capital for ?The Coromandel', as the peninsula is known, so full of tourist treats and views. Many people come from all around the region every Saturday morning to the Thames markets, when stalls are lined along Pollen Street and many interesting items bought that you just can't buy in the shops. Thames Golf Course is then a pleasant 18-hole challenge for an afternoon's activity.

I arrived late and left early and so did not have much time there but what i did have was really good. Had some good conversations and would look to stay here again, perhaps when not on business and in a rush.

Perfekt hosts who gave me the feeling being at home. Located nearly direct at the beach of the bay.

Upon arrival, greated with coffee and cake. (Cake so yummy even given the 'healthy' recipe). A most comfortable, relaxed stay with hosts able to advise of good eating place. Recommend to others. Lilian Reddish

We were made to feel at home from the minute we walked in the door. Although the booking says it will be confirmed by email we got a phone call within a couple of hours of booking from Lou just to let us know our booking was confirmed and that they'd be about all day and we could call in anytime. Room was cosy and the bed was comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great and more than we could possibly want, we left feeling stuffed! And we got to try fruits from their own garden. Wonderful hosts, very friendly and welcoming and invited us to use their home as if it was our own. Lovely people, shame we didn't have longer to stay. When we left it was like leaving the home of a relative. Lovely, warm people. We'll definately look them up again when we come back to New Zealand!
