This place is so unique in every way. We wish we had stayed longer as it was so relaxing and a very happy place. The peace and quiet and privacy was a blessing after many motels & hotels we had to endure this trip. The suites are very tastefully decorated, very comfortable and spacious. Speaking of size - stdavids is enormous, never been in such a grand home library before, spent hours playing the board games - so didn't get to read any books but certainly good to see such an eclectic collection. The relaxing art corner was very special and unique. Also was told by the awesome caretakers free internet is waiting connection. The cellphone coverage was excellent. The kitchen was very well equipped and the dining area beautifully presented. We had great weather so didn't use the fire - we will be back in your winter to ski with friends and we will definitely be staying at this amazing discovery. Thanks to whoever created this very special accommodation. .

We found st davids great accommodation. Each of the three bedrooms had its own ensuite which was very good. Not a new flash place but certainly adequate and comfortable, the fire going when we arrived was lovely. We loved it and will use again. The caretakers were very easy to contact and helpful.

Really good value. We were confused about location. We didn't expect an ex-church! plenty of hot water and great fire and plenty of wood. All facilities as shown on ad. Felt it needed a "spring clean" not dirty just needed freshening up. Certainly great for a group to stay or a family holiday.

We stayed with our family of 7 recently and loved the house! it is very spacious, every bedroom has its own bathroom (which is so very handy with a group of 7, it meant we could be out the door to go to the snow before 9am!) and the fireplace heated the main living area very well. We thought it was very cosy and reasonably clean and we easily could've stayed longer and been more than happy! it was close to the activities we wanted to do and the small town provided for your shopping essentials and nice coffee! we would recommend this accommodation and most definitely use it again! thanks for the stay! .

The population of taumeranui has has only grown by 2000 in 85 years so another 6 arrivals didn't bring out a brass band to greet us . After breaking down on route and trapping a finger in the door we were ready for the disasterous weekend to continue . First impressions were " where the hell are we" upon opening the door to a former church yet younger than me , the kids went "wow" space, warmth, interesting , quirky , out of ordinary . Rough around the edges but you can't fail to love it. Everything you need incl a good library for a range of interests. I think the other 4000 locals had gone away for the weekend too. If your looking for relaxation here don't take our kids yours are probably less demanding . Plenty of wood for the fire and the place was still smouldering when we left . There's some ice cream in the freezer help yourself kids wouldn't eat it for breakfast with the bacon .really great place enjoy it!.
