Come for 1 night, 2 nights, a week or longer and find something different to do every day. Many of our guests remark how varied and interesting our attractions are, and how more plentiful they are, then more widely known areas in Northland.
Leave or arrive in Auckland airport, and you will find we are the ideal place to spend your first or last few days. Historic Mansion House, the former residence, on Kawau Island, of New Zealand's first Governor General - Governor Grey, has been beautifully restored and is the focus of a great day doing the Mail Run aboard the very comfortable Kawau Kat catamaran, with plenty of time for swims, or walks to the abandoned copper mine or over the island.
Swim with the amazingly abundant fish, just metres from the shore at Goat Island Marine Reserve. Goat Island is New Zealand's world famous first Marine Park, where the fish are so friendly you have to see to believe it. If you don't like to get your feet wet take the Glass Bottom Boat for a full commentry and view of the wonderful marine life, reefs, caves and seabirds in their natural habitat.

Fantastic stay and lovely people. Could not fault the motel, really spacious for us & two older kids, really close to everything too. Be sure to check out martins bay if you stay here - what a find. A++++.

A very tidy motel handy to beach and shops. Managers were very helpful. Would go for an upstairs room next time for the sea view.
