The natural beauty of Whangamata with it's bush clad hills, sparkling harbour, and famous surf beach give our guests the choice of a wide range of activities. These range from relaxing beach or quiet bush walks through to fishing, swimming, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and mountain biking. Stay a while and enjoy the range of activities the local area has to offer.
Guests may also wish to venture further afield and explore the rest of the Coromandel Peninsula.
Sandy Rose is located a short stroll from Whangamata town centre with a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops.
With its rose garden and subtropical setting, our home is built in the classical NZ colonial villa style. Our guests have a choice of three tastefully decorated bedrooms, all with comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom facilities and in room television.

A great escape
I was looking for somewhere peaceful to stay on New Year's Eve and I found it here. A quiet room with all I needed. Friendly, obliging hosts. Great breakfast. Close to beach and town. I would stay here again.
