Feedback

Following is feedback posted by visitors to this property:

It was very pleasant and comfortable stay
All was very good but we struggled a bid with the airconditoning system as the heating was on at the same time.

Had a great time thank you.

Although i haven't yet stayed in this hotel, i can tell that the staff are wonderful and sensitive already. After booking this we had a sudden death in the family which meant that we could not stay on the date arranged, i rang the hotel as a courtesy to say we could not make it, and the very next day the manager/owner kindly offered us another date to stay. Considering the circumstances, he need not have offered this at all, but because of his kindness we will still get to experience this wonderful place. Thank you jan bedford.

Very nice hotel.

Good location. Grand old victorian building. Staff at desk varied in welcome with what i suspect is the male owner showing least interest. Rooms decorated old style. Shower poor toilet flush part-broken. Facilities generally run down and old. Bed bouncy. No free internet in bedrooms!!!! access to roms via balcony is quaint. Breakfast 'ok' ; cooked food a bit greasy and terrible piazza d'oro coffee favoured by large hotel chains (excellent rotorua roasteries bypassed) hotpools are not mineral and changing areas very basic but free towels. Overpriced and i think living on its past but still romantic and main halls etc attractive but this is not a luxury hotel.
