Price range: $150.00 - $150.00

Book your stay at our cottage "Powai" - Delightful secluded retreat. Stand-alone. Studio style; Self contained. Delicious continental breakfast basket on arrival. Plunger and Fresh coffee grounds sourced locally. Tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge, microwave, stove top cooker, toaster and electric fry pan. Pop corn maker. (pop corn supplied) Quality cotton sheets. Hair dryer and bathrobes. There is a BBQ, table and chairs on your deck.
Escape to the Kaipara coast and discover another of New Zealand's beautiful coastlines. Located on the Oneriri Peninsula, 15 min's west of Kaiwaka. We are a little off the beaten track; hidden in the heart of rural New Zealand country side, on the Kaipara ... a perfect escape ...
As you arrive, you are looking across the Otamatea river. This is the river of Jane Mander's famous book "The Story of a New Zealand River" and reputed to be the inspiration for the film "The Piano". Maungatoroto is across the water and Kaiwaka off to the right. We are privileged to have such an amazing view.
Kaiwaka is situated at an important junction. Roads east lead to Mangawhai and its surf beach, coastal walks and golf course, Saturday market, Bennett's chocolate factory, museum and art gallery - only a twenty minute drive. Also the Northland wine trail. Another beautiful beach is Te Arai Point, a huge secluded beach with a natural bathing pool in the rocks. - Further afield is the Scottish town of Waipu. Not far on the SH1 drive straight ahead to Whangarei and the Bay of Islands or turn left at Brynderwyn and follow the Twin Coast Discovery Highway along Northlands' Kauri coast. Visit the Matakohe Kauri Museum. We could be a base for you to explore from or a stop off on your journey northwards and vice versa
Close to an all-tide public boat ramp for those who would like to fish the Kaipara, excellent for snapper, scallops and flounder.
Take a leisurely kayak around the bays, watch a DVD, listen to your favourite CD, read a book, take a walk or simply relax. Enjoy the perfect escape! Come and stay!
