A couple of items that did not go down well 1 Advertized as 25m pool (,not in use ) ,miss leading advertizing 2 paid $120 online when I arrive ,there is a sign out the front for $65 per night 3 $ 120 per night did not include breakfast 4 It is a bit off a ripe off 5 wont go back there

Was very dissapointed in the service of our stay. I would never stay again.surprised to discover i had to plug electric blankets times three. Not many plugs for ipods and iphones. Boys were excited free internet but it wasn't. We were all excited about the hot pools but sign saying not to use. Was told the food at restaurant was amazing but would not rate even good, the restaurant was only open till 8pm when i thought normal to go out for dinner 8pm! they put down local restaurants saying not good when the thai for example we had was amazing! my son was sick and told day before want to check out day early but would not let me had a credit for a night to come back. The owner was winking at et me often. Have no desire for old pot belly man to flirt me me- yuck! 13 yr old even commented to me how bad the service was! shame when a lovely place. Never again!.

As soon as i mentioned my name and that i had a booking was told i did not. Said i'd booked thrugh travelbug and was told they didn't use travelbug. Showed staff member booking on smartphone. There were 2 of us yes? boked in the honeymoon suite. Ah no there is 1 of me and did they in fact have any information from travelbug!? after finding my booking staff member's demeanor changed radically dramatically from nearly hostile to almost fawning. Room was clean and warm but first encounters mean a lot to me and was underwhelmed to say the least with this reception. For a wet weekend it was comfy enough but i won't be recommending the place to anyone. .

Good Value for Money
For a short notice booking at Easter I was surprised to be able to get a room at Methven Resort. We were welcomed by staff and advised where the safest place to park our motorcycles was(not that they had experienced troubles in the past). The room is of an average quality - everything you expect for a standard room is there. The only slightly inconvenience was a lack of spare power points close to the bed (we pulled the electric blanket plug out). The outdoor swimming pool and hot-pools area look very inviting but our time-frame didn't allow us to utilise them.
