Feedback

Following is feedback posted by visitors to this property:

The place does itself no favours. Its outside appearance and lobby and customer service were well below standard. Had we not already paid and had no time to find somewhere else we wouldn't have stayed. However, the room was tidy, clean, and exactly what we had asked for in bed configuration. The shower was dated but ok, however the toilet in the family room was unpleasant. Staff could not locate our payment and charged us for towels when they were supplied with the room. It was extremely noisy. The elevator is scary. Would not be likely to stay again.

I arrived at the lodge with some other family including my 2 children who were tired after a day's travelling. I had the booking confirmatiion for a 6 bed self contained unit with me, yet the room had been booked for someone else. The girl behind the counter was lovely and did not get stressed despite a long line forming behind us. She found us an alternative which took a while to get sorted but was better than what she initially offered. They appear to have overbooked a few people that day and i did wonder if that was done intentionally to fill up the other place. I was miffed my booking did not appear to have come through on trivago (or so they said) but i was happy with the service they provided. .

Bed was a bit basic but adequate. I was allowed to park for 2 full days when staying for 1 night - a real plus for wellington. Staff friendly and helpful although initially i was charged at check-in when i had paid on booking. When i discovered this it was quickly repaid without fuss and quick apology given. Good stay for the price.

The double bunk room was clean and tidy. The bathroom space however, were old, tired and scungy! guests were extremely noisy in adjoining rooms. Staff were friendly and location is nice for access to city, but very noisy. We only stayed for 2 of the 3 booked (and paid for) nights. Probably will not be staying there again. .
