Kepler Mountain View offers 3 self contained cottages on the doorstep of Fiordland National Park, one of the worlds largest World Heritage Parks.
1.Kepler Mountain View Alpaca Cottage is a one bedroomed self contained cottage located at on the outskirts of Lake Manapouri with stunning views over the Kepler, Hunter, Takitimu and Eyre Mountains on small Alpaca Farm at 130 Hillside Manapouri Road.
2. 16 Motu-au Close is a 2 bedroomed self contained cottage located in a small quiet cul-de-sac (called Motu-au Close) the heart of the Manapouri Village within a 2 minute walking distance to the departure point for Doubtful Sound trips, Lake Manapouri and all amenities.
3. No 18 Motu-au Close is a 3 bedroomed self contained cottage located in a small quiet cul-de-sac (called Motu-au Close) the heart of the Manapouri Village within a 2 minute walking distance to the departure point for Doubtful Sound trips, Lake Manapouri and all amenities.
Kepler Mountain View Alpaca Cottage and both Motu-Au Close cottages are the perfect holiday homes to base yourself while visiting the world renown Milford and Doubtful Sounds and exploring Fiordland. The Manapouri village on the shores of Lake Manapouri is a the departure point for visiting Doubtful Sound.

Your hosts, Jessie and Ray are both involved in working in Fiordland National Park and can help you with planning your trip to maximise your time while exploring Fiordland National Park and the surrounding Te Anau Basin.
Manapouri is a scenic 10 to 15 minute drive from Te Anau. There is a small store at Lake Manapouri, 2 restaurants, a local hotel on the shores of Lake Manapouri where memorabilia of the building of the underground power station at the head of Lake Manapouri makes interesting reading while enjoying a quiet drink. Whether planning a kayaking trip on Doubtful Sound or a cruise, or just trout fishing or enjoying the many walking tracks Manapouri is a great place to spend a few days to enable you to truely appreciate all it has to offer.
We can store your car and belongings free of charge while you are away visiting Doubtful or Milford Sounds or hiking in Fiordland National Park.

The cottage comes with all comforts you can ask for. The design is warm and welcoming. The bed rooms have super cozy beds. The kitchen is fully fitted to cook or BBQ for a large group. Needless to say everything was super clean. The outside comes with a small garden and a BBQ. You'll enjoy sunset from the deck. We can only recommend staying here.

Fantastic; wish we'd stayed longer
We just had one night to spend in Manapouri and we wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage was beautiful and very comfortable, and the owners were incredibly nice. We were lucky enough to be around when it was time to feed the baby alpacas, and a couple of them ate some alpaca nuts from our hands!

Excellent accommodation

lovely and cosy cottage in Manapouri
Very lovely place, clean and tidy with all the amenities you need. Kitchen was very well-equipped and the whole place was nice and warm. The neighbourhood is also very quiet so you are guaranteed a good night's sleep. Owner Jessie is very friendly and it was nice to see the little touches around the cottage.

Clean and comfy self contained unit on an alpaca farm
Hosts were welcoming and friendly and introduced us to their alpacas! The unit was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The complimentary laundry facilities were a big plus for us. Views from the cottage and outdoor space were gorgeous. Wish we could have stayed longer!
