It is the perfect retreat to hang out, watch the native birds and recharge your energy. You can see Blackpool Bay from the deck and a giant karaka tree provides privacy across the valley. There are walking tracks nearby including one at the end of the road down to Blackpool beach. It comes complete with worktable if you want to bring your paints and have a creative workout. It has a fully equipped kitchen. It has a queen size, commercial quality sleepyhead bed with cotton sheets for a great nights sleep plus a futon bed. Comes equipped with log burner, free view TV, books, and games. There is cell phone reception.
It is a six minute taxi ride from the Matiatia Ferry terminal which is 35 minutes by ferry from Auckland. Sealink also offers a car ferry service that takes 45 - 60 minutes departing from Half Moon Bay in East Auckland plus some weekends runs from downtown Auckland Wynyard wharf.
