Situated on the door step of Nelson lakes National park. Lake Rotoroa is the Jewel in the crown for this natural untamed wilderness .Blue Lake is another Jewel for Nelson Lakes National park.It has the clearest water in the world.It is accessible from the Sabine valley at the head of the lake,The Lake Rotoroa water Taxi is available to take passengers to the Sabine hutt at the beginning of the track ....WARNING...Please be advised that if you are intending to Tramp up to Blue Lake That you may need to check with DOC that you have accommodation there as restrictions to Hutt may be limited.
CLOSED UNTILL OCTOBER:
Very cosy, easy going accommodation for backpackers, trampers, hunters, mountain bikers, trout fisherman, kayakers. families. Photographers, the list just goes on.
If travelling via Interislander Wellington to Picton on an afternoon sailing,Lake Rotoroa offers a nice relaxing stop over for the evening,But make sure you do your grocery shopping in Blenheim,before proceeding into the Mountains.

This Old Time Genuine Bach will not suit people who have not camped out in the out doors .If you want to stay at the Luxuary Lodges this is not for you .The Bach is comfortable and for Backpackers prices is money for value .The pics of the Bach are definitely what you get Thank you
