Brilliant!
Outstanding. Many thanks to Hil (whose personal experience of the area we were visiting was excellent) and her colleague who both made our onward journeys interesting and well-informed. They deserve highest praise!

Excellent time staying in hanmer. We had a cottage out the back of the heritage and it was nicely appointed and very quiet. Had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly also and the restaurant was top notch! would definitely stay again. Thanks.

Location is fantastic but not sure if its a 4 star place to stay. Rooms are a bit dated. Dinner was very nice and would recommend but breakfast was over priced. The music in the restaurant at night was something from the early 80's. Maybe time to re look at the music. The information in the rooms said the restaurant opened at 5.30pm but when we went down the sign said 6pm. Up side it gave us time to relax and have a drink!.

With a little attention to detail and work the heritage would be fabulous. The staff were fantastic (any issues dealt with swifly) and dinner was gorgeous. The rooms need some tlc, particularly the bathrooms. A few little changes would make them much better. We stayed in a garden room and the ipod dock didn't work with either (new or old version) and this is one of the room 'features'. A small bin in the tea/coffee making area plus a bit of cutlery and crockery would help. If you don't want to pay $28 for breakfast there is nothing to eat off! overall it was a pleasant stay but not a 4 star plus hotel without some work. .

Staff were very friendly, room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. The view of the mountains from our room across the beautifully keep gardens was lovely. Great food for dinner and a warm fire in the restaurant.
