The perfect retreat for a couple, the Hayloft is a spacious, fully self contained part of our home with its own private access and will be exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Although self catering, breakfast provisions can be provided for your convenience.
An ideal haven to unwind and get away from it all, this distinctive Wanaka accommodation combines all the charm and character of an old farm cottage with the comfort and facilities of a modern home. Designed with natural materials and recycled timbers, it's wonderful thick walls make it cosy and warm in winter and cool in summer.
Situated just 4km from Lake Wanaka; the shops, cafes, restaurants and the many activities Wanaka has to offer, are all easily accessible. Wanaka's small, domestic airport, with daily flights to and from Christchurch and scenic flights to Milford Sound, is a five minute drive away.

This is a really nice apartment- well loved and appointed. The bed was very very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly, but did not intrude on our privacy. We would definitely recommend.

Space, beauty, peace and perfection
Exceeded all expectations - photos didn't do it justice. Straw bale house a great experience. Lovely host who was informative but understood guests needed their space. Huge bedroom. Dressing room. Landing. Sitting room. Kitchen - microwave and plug in hot plates. Balconies back and front. And use of washing line.

Excellent. Exceeded expectations
Very welcoming hosts. Most generous with the breakfast provisions. Good/quiet location, within easy drive of Wanaka centre. We appreciated the space, laundry facilities and attention to detail that John & Julie had clearly given to make our stay so comfortable.

Comfortable and attractive accommodation for a couple
An ideal base in Wanaka, with a small kitchen allowing the option of self-catering. Located on the rural outskirts, so best suited to travelling with a car. Very comfortable bed. Equipped with Freeview TV, DVD player and VCR with some interesting movies for viewing.
