Begin your unforgettable "Journey of Discovery" in Lake Te Anau, travel a short distance to Manapouri and pass forested mountains on beautiful Lake Manapouri. From West Arm, we travel deep in Fiordland, over the Wilmot Pass and into the isolation and silence of Doubtful Sound, Fiordland.
Carved by glaciers over thousands of years, the deep waters of Doubtful Sound are often calm and protected by tall mountains.
While marvelling at the incredible scenery, look for dolphins, seals and penguins.
Your crew will bait and check ?pots? to capture Fiordland Lobster and select suitable locations to try your luck fishing for Blue Cod or Sea Perch to complement the evening meal or enjoy a Kayak with your fellow passengers to experience the Fiord from water level.

The MV Southern Secret is an excellent vessel for your Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise. She is roomy warm and dry, has a comfortable living and dining area with big windows for viewing the fiord. The top deck, bow and stern are fully accessible as we cruise. Our traveling speed on the fiord is around 9 knots. The MV Southern Secret accommodates a maximum of 12 passengers plus crew on our journeys. Onboard our cabins are double/ twin or triple cabins; each cabin has it's own ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower, a small reading light above each sleeping position and all bedding and towels are provided; we just ask that you bring an overnight bag with personal belongings.
