Comfortable bright well equipped room and ensuite. House set in beautiful gardens. But what really makes this place is Christine - a warm, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful innkeeper who works hard to make your stay pleasant.

Excellent host and excellent b & b
An excellent all round experience, beautiful location and accommodation. Breakfast was very good and Christine the owner could not have been a better hostess. She also had a wealth of local knowledge which helped us to have a very memorable stay in New Zealand.

Beautiful place to stay - great hostess!
We loved our stay at Doolan's Country Retreat. Christine was an excellent hostess - her home is beautiful on a gorgeous piece of property. She gave us great recommendations of things to do while in Rotorua and she even washed our swimsuits for us after our visit to the Polynesian Spa. Highly recommend a stay at Doolan's while in the Rotorua area.
