15 Hunt Terrace Wakefield Nelson

Price range: $140.00 - $165.00

Bush Walk Bed & Breakfast Homestay is a home away from home in the village of Wakefield, 29km south of Nelson City. It is well situated for those travelling north or south, who want to explore the Nelson region.

The bed and breakfast is set in amongst New Zealand native bush, in a lovely secluded setting. Faulkners Bush reserve borders the boundary and is a short cut to the village. It is a large park with pathways through the original native bush. It has a play area for the children and BBQ's for the public to use. From the lookout you can view the wonderful vista from Wakefield to Nelson, right out to Tasman Bay.

There are two rooms, the Totara (double) and Wisteria (large Queen slat bed) and they both share the newly renovated guest bathroom with shower over the bath. All the upstairs area of the house has been set aside for guests. Included in the price of a room is a pottery lesson and complimentary glass of wine or beer. Both rooms open onto a private deck which has a table & chairs and a sun umbrella, where guests can sit and watch the native Wood Pigeon's, Bellbirds and Tui's.

A gallery is on site where Bruce and Sandra have their work on display, paintings, cards, pottery and children's chairs and tables.

Bruce will demonstrate how to make a pot then guests can have go themselves, with him guiding them through every step.

As locals Sandra and Bruce can suggest activities and organise tours. They can give valuable information of the region, and have escorted guests on boat trips to the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Park.

Bruce and Sandra have travelled extensively and love meeting people. They have hosted many different guests from all over the world. Their interests are pottery, golf, motor sport, painting and music.

If this sounds like your kind of place, join Bruce and Sandra in their piece of paradise.

We LOVED our stay at Bush Walk B&B!
Sandra & Bruce were exceptional hosts! They provided us with amazing hospitality, lots of information on NZ, activities, places of interest and the most delicious home cooked meals we had in NZ! Everything about Bush Walk exceeded our expectations! Sandra & Bruce shared their love of the arts and passion for NZ. We were lucky enough to share New Years with them! I'd highly recommend Bush Walk B&B!

Bruce and Sandra are warm and welcoming hosts who immediately make you feel at ease in their lovely home. There is an option to have an evening meal and these were delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
