Alps 2 Ocean Cycleway organises fully supported bike tours along the new Alps 2 Ocean Cycleway in the magnificent Southern Alps of the South Island of New Zealand.

The Alps 2 Ocean Cycleway stretches 312 kms from Aoraki/Mt Cook Village, through the magnificent Mackenzie Basin and down the Waitaki Valley, to end at Oamaru by the Pacific Ocean. With Alps 2 Ocean cycle way, you'll get to ride in a helicopter to start the trail, see breathtaking views of Aoraki/Mt Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain, enjoy days of riding past stunning glacial lakes and snow capped peaks followed by rides along our main Hydro Electric System and finish through incredible rock and fossil formations. All while cycling predominantly downhill, descending 780 metres to the mighty Pacific Ocean over the course of the trail.

If you don't know the area, co-ordinating and booking the accommodation may be quite a mission. Riding for 4 to 8 days without a support vehicle, in an area with few shops and even fewer toilets, will require plenty of planning and a bike maintenance course! The alternative? Join one of our organised, small group tours and have everything done for you.

We offer several types of organised, fully supported tours for small groups of up to 10 people of all ages and abilities, all starting and finishing in Queenstown. Our tours are designed to have as much off road riding as possible, you even have the option of a Helibike trip instead of riding the Twizel canal roads. We are mountain bikers after all!
