A couple of older reviews highlight our hot water problem in a couple of our units - we are pleased to announce that this was rectified a year or so ago and the showers are super-duper now..

Following is feedback posted by visitors to this property:My husband and i enjoyed our stay at the motel. I especially liked it because we could take our dog with us (something no other motel that i know of offers). The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. Our room, although very basic was very comfortable and clean, after all we weren't in hastings to spend all our time in a motel unit we were just happy that when we returned to the motel we could just relax. I would certainly stay at this motel again if ever we went to hastings again.

Sorry, thumbs down - i too would like a horizontal thumb :) i would have loved the opportunity to book a refurbished room but was not made aware there was a choice (via this website). Perhaps this should be an option here. Very basic room that didn't feel clean even though it probably was but due to the dated furnishing and old carpet. The shower was terrible but they did warn about this with a sign by the handbasin. I am surprised to read a comment here from 2009 about these studio units which still have not been sorted (yet the owners said they would be). .

My partner moaned the whole time about everything! No phone,Shoddy fittings, safety chain on the back door broken. The hot water supply was dodgy although granted we had an apology note beside the wash hand basin / sink. The bedside cabinet was broken with a nail sticking out of the top of it. lol. We didnt think it was worth 102 bux, but it served its purpose, sorry guys but you need to do a bit of maintainence before we would return, thanks for the friendly greeting when we arrived.

Initially booked for one night but decided to stay another night. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Room on first night was clean, comfortable and quiet. As my brother and nephew were also staying the second night, the host moved us to a family room which was comfortable but there were problems with lights in the kitchen. Having got back late from the function we were attending, and leaving very early the next day there wasn't the opportunity to mention it to the hosts. Pleasant stay thank you.
