The upstairs Queen suite has an ensuite and private lounge. A second Queen room upstairs has wonderful views and a shared bathroom downstairs. The Log House Retreat in Alexandra is New Zealand's largest log house. It took one and a half years to build and sits beautifully in harmony with its pine tree backdrop. There are many recreational opportunities nearby - fishing, gold panning, hiking, ice-skating and the thrill of a mountain bike ride through remote tussock and the famous Central Otago Rail Trail. Wine has become one of Central Otago's newest claims to fame with many of the local wineries offering tastings throughout the summer months.
