Established in 1978, Glentanner Park is situated on "Glentanner", a working high country sheep station on the North West shores of Lake Pukaki, just 18km from the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. A modern purpose built visitor centre with friendly knowledgeable staff, services, accommodation and campground clientele and also caters to day visitors. Visit Mt Cook during your New Zealand Rugby World Cup trip - a popular stopover on the scenic drive from Christchurch to Queenstown and just 3 hours from Dunedin.


The accommodation/campground area contains 60 power sites, unlimited tent sites, 5 self-contained tourist cabins, 9 standard/basic cabins, 10-bed dorm/backpackers. Available facilities include showers, toilets, kitchen, laundry, Sky TV with 9 Channels and a log fire. An indoor/outdoor barbecue pavilion with gas BBQ's is available for all guests to use.

You'll also find a licensed cafe, for a light snack or a substantial meal in the main visitor centre. The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch all year round with evening dining during summer. All major credit cards accepted.

Glentanner Park is the Flightseeing and Activity Centre for the Mount Cook Region. Snow Landing Flights with The Helicopter Line, The Grand Traverse Scenic Plane Flight with Air Safaris and Horse Trekking leave from Glentanner.
