Used mainly for rugby matches, the Rotorua International Stadium is one of two home stadiums for the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union (the other being Baypark Stadium in Tauranga). Originally built in 1911, and renovated serveral times since, the stadium features a covered stand & an uncovered seating area on the western side of the field.

Situated on Devon Street West, the stadium is a 20-minute walk from downtown Rotorua & the hub of Rotorua’s accommodation facilities.

Rotorua International Stadium has a capacity of 34,000 seats with a covered grandstand, uncovered terraces & embankment.

Walking
The Rotorua International Stadium is just a 20-minute walk from downtown Rotorua and the hub of Rotorua's accommodation facilities.

Public Transport
Rotorua has an excellent public transportation network. The majority of bus services leave from the i-SITE Tourism Rotorua Visitor Information and Travel Centre in Fenton Street.

Car
Located just a five-minute drive from the city centre, the stadium is easily accessible by car. Parking is available via Malfroy and Devon Streets. Alternatively a Park and Ride service operates from the city centre to the Stadium.

General Information

Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the Stadium. Small quantities of unopened/sealed drinks and non-commercial food such as sandwiches and fruit will be allowed into the stadium.

Prohibited items include chilli bins, cans, glass bottles, video cameras, glass objects including perfume bottles, offensive weapons or other devices that have the potential to create injury or public nuisance to other users of the venue.

Smoking on the premises is only permitted in designated areas and not within seated areas or the grandstand.

Disabled parking is available in the North car park with access via Gate 2.
