The Northland Events Centre is a brand new multi-function events centre in Whangarei. Following upgrades completed in 2010, it boasts a larger capacity as well as a conference and function centre and changing rooms, food and retail facilities. It is the traditional home of Rugby for Northland.

The Events Centre is located an easy 15-minute walk (1.5-kilometres) from the central city and is clearly signposted.

The Northland Events Centre has a capacity of 20,000 seats (including 2,000 covered seats). It has a new stand & refurbished embankments.

Walking:
The Events Centre is located an easy 15-minute walk (1.5-kilometres) from the central city and is clearly signposted.

Public Transport
The Route 1 bus departs regularly from the Rose Street terminus in central Whangarei and takes approximately eight-minutes. The Okara bus stop is the closest to the stadium.

Car
Travelling to the stadium by car will take approximately eight-minutes from the city centre, 20-minutes from Whangarei Airport or two-hours from Auckland.

General Information

Ample food and beverage outlets are accessible at the Events Centre.

Patrons may bring the following food & drink items; sealed clear plastic water bottles up to 1 litre in size, small amounts of food for personal consumption, such as sandwiches, fruit, chips, etc. Must be contained in one small bag that can fit under your seat.

Prohibited items include; alcohol & other beverages, thermos flasks, glass bottles or cans, hot food, commercially produced takeaway food, chilly bins, picnic baskets or large bags, illicit drugs. Other items include; flares, fireworks, knives or other dangerous weapons.

There is no smoking in the Northland Events Centre. Smoking is not permitted within 10 metres of the Events Centre entranceways.
