Eden Park is New Zealand’s largest stadium and has undergone a $240.5 million makeover over the past 3 years. It is the home of the Blues Super 15 team and has been the home of Auckland Rugby since 1925. It was the site of the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987.

Eden Park is located in the heart of Auckland city in the suburb of Kingsland less than 3 km from the CBD.

Eden Park has a capacity of 50,000 seats that is being temporarily increased to 60,000 seats for the Rugby World Cup 2011.

How to get there

Walking:
Eden Park stadium is conveniently located only three kilometres from the CBD and can easily be reached on foot. Pedestrian lanes provide access from Eden Park to the central city and surrounding suburbs.

Public Transport

Eden Park is well served by bus and rail links from the central business district and other parts of Auckland.

Train – from Auckland CBD (Britomart Station) to Kingsland Rail Station located immediately opposite the stadium . Trains may also run to Morningside Station from the western suburbs.

Bus – form matches, dedicated buses normally run from Eden Park Bus Terminal to Mid town/Downtown, Newmarket / Mt Eden, North Shore/Takapuna and Manukau/Botany/Pakuranga.

Ferry:
The Downtown Ferry terminal is next to the Britomart Transport Centre in downtown Auckland making it easy for ferry passengers to change to a bus or train to the games.

Taxis – pre and post event taxi ranks on New North Rd and Dominion Rd.
